What do we mean by clean?

Bad Habit skincare formulas meet rigorous clean standards. All of our products are made without parabens, SLS & SLES sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, and more.

 

Do your products have fragrances in them?

Bad Habit skincare contains functional fragrances. Our purposeful essential oil blends are created to provide a stress-relieving or energizing benefit.

 

Are the essential oils safe for my skin?

We use very low levels of essential oils (less that 0.5%) in our skincare to provide a stress-relieving aromatherapy benefit, and they are perfectly safe for your skin. All of our products undergo third-party safety testing on a range of skin types, so we can be sure they’re good for you (and your skin).

   

 

Are your products vegan?

Yes. None of our products contain animal or animal-derived ingredients. We carefully select plant-based, natural, and synthetic ingredients for all of our formulas.

 

Are your products cruelty-free?

Yes. We don’t support, condone, or conduct animal testing on any of our ingredients or finished products. We also don’t allow any of our manufacturers to test on animals on our behalf.

 

Are your ingredients organic?

Our formulas are not organic, but we use high-quality proven ingredients that are clean and vegan. We select a blend of plant-based, natural, and synthetic ingredients for our formulas.

 

Are your products gluten-free?

There are no gluten ingredients in our skincare formulas. However, if you have a severe gluten allergy, please know that due to the wide range of raw materials and equipment used during the manufacturing of our products, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from any traces of gluten.

 

Are your products nut-free?

There are no nut ingredients in our skincare formulas. However, if you have a severe nut allergy, please know that due to the wide range of raw materials and equipment used during the manufacturing of our products, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from any traces of nut.

 

I had an allergic reaction, what do I do?

With any type of reaction, it is important for you to stop using the product in question immediately. While we list the ingredients on our website to help avoid this type of occurrence, everyone’s skin is unique. We also recommend seeking medical advice to help you understand what may have caused your reaction.

 

What skin concerns does Bad Habit address?

Bad Habit products address a range of skin concerns associated with a stressed-out, always-on lifestyle, including dullness, dryness, and dehydration.

 

Can I use your products if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding?

All of our products are formulated to the highest standards of safety and are thoroughly tested. That being said, we always recommend checking with your doctor first before using any skincare product during pregnancy or nursing.

 

How do I know when my products are expired?

Please look at the packaging for a tiny image of an opened jar with a number on it: 6, 12, 24, or 36. This symbol refers to the number of months you can use the product after you’ve opened it.

 

Do you use sustainable packaging?

Our brand goal is to be fully sustainable by 2023. We currently use recycled and recyclable packaging whenever we can. All of our jars and plastic bottles are made from recyclable PET. Our boxes are 100% recyclable and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

 

Is your plastic packaging BPA-free?

Yes, Bad Habit plastic packaging is BPA-free.

 

What preservatives does Bad Habit use?

We use the following preservatives to maintain the integrity of our formulas: phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, and caprylyl glycol.

 

Where is Bad Habit made?

The Bad Habit skincare products featured on our website are Made in the USA. You can always check where a Bad Habit product is made by looking on our packaging.
